This is just a post to remind myself yes, I do have a blog, and I should post on it once in a blue moon. Been uber-focused on learning how to create templates in Joomla lately, with my own site and a couple of pro bono sites as fodder. And if you have no idea what that means, don’t sweat it. It just means that Claire’s a geek and is spending a lot of time staring at the computer, muttering and cursing.
My bedtime reading these days: “Learn PHP in 24 Hours!” Not as much fun as Harry Potter, but it puts me to sleep a whole lot faster.

I think if I ever start feeling obligated to post on my blogs, they’ll instantly wither and die. Sure, there are occasional posting lacunae, and in some sense it might be “better” if I posted regularly, but so what? If my readers want me to post more, they can pay my blog and phone bill.

I have a book called “Learn PHP in 6 Years!”
No, not really, but it might as well be called that, since, as I’ve done with a lot of tech books, I got about 100 pages into it several years back and never followed through with the other 200-300 pages to really learn it all!
It’s been 120 hours now, so I hope you’ve made it through!

It’s always a balancing act between content and the other stuff. I lean too much in the other direction, because I’m generally inept at the techno stuff, thus spending 3 or 4 hours and nothing to show for it, and I HATE that.
