From a credit card offer, which includes 0% APR on transfers until 2009: “We may change your account terms, including rates, at any time for any reason. This means that your account rates, including any promotional rates offered, are not guaranteed.”

In other words: whatever we promise you today, we could be lying through our teeth and there’s not a damn thing you can do about it but pay us whatever we demand tomorrow. Sucker.
