After a day of near-total lethargy yesterday, we got out late this morning and walked to the east end of the island, where you can look across the Lockwoods Folly Inlet at the people walking the beach on the next island. We figure that there and back was around 5 miles, although it seems longer when you’re walking barefoot in soft sand. That end of the island is quite pretty; I hope to get back there (via vehicle) to take some photos and try out my new wide-angle lens.

The sea was a bit rougher today–didn’t get my face dragged in the sand, but came close a couple of times. It made for poor swimming but certainly kept me on my toes diving under the waves.

Nothing to do now but wait for Mr. Dependable to whip up some lunch.
