I got my new digital camera in the mail today (a Canon PowerShot A570 for those of you who are keeping score). I even took a few shots already–the standard first-day-with-the-camera stuff. Boyfriend. Cat. Boyfriend with cat. Flowers. The cat again.
Now all I have to do is install the photo gallery software on my hosting account, and build a gallery so I can link to photos there…between that, learning the camera itself, and that getting married stuff, it should be a busy couple of weeks at the beach.

Theoretically, when, say, I link to you, in the body of the post, or the first time I added you to my webroll, you get “points”, partially based on the popularity of my page. Last week, my page was 27; now it’s 31, because I was in a contest, and my page was cited by pages with technorati scores in the 300s. But currency of these links also matter. It’s all a mystery in that there doesn’t seem to be a consistency in what gets picked up and what doesn’t. So, my Technorati score will eventually go back to the mid-20s, assuming that no one else links to me
